After School Connections Programmer - Joyceville

*Please note that positions will take place Monday to Friday between the hours of 3:30-6:30p.m. at Joyceville Public School*

Role and Responsibilities
Ability to actively engage and supervise members according to a 1:15 ratio at one time
Ability to create and/or implement detailed and unique program plans that promote healthy active living and healthy childhood development (physical activity, social skills, personal health and wellness etc)
Able to implement behavioural management techniques fairly and effectively in accordance with Policies and Procedures
Teach/mentor volunteers and placement students within your programming
Assisting with special events, annual activities and community events.

Preferred Skills
Flexibility in hours between 3:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. and in various program areas
Ability to adapt to changes in schedules, programming spaces, special events etc.
Good time management and organizational skills
Able to meet deadlines
Able to multi-task
Ability to be a leader and take initiative
Able to work well in a team environment, as well as an on an individual basis

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Recent post-secondary graduate at College or University:
  • Early Childhood Education
  • Bachelor of Education
  • Recreational Leadership Diploma
  • Child and Youth Care (previously Child and Youth Worker) diploma
  • Behavioural Science Technology/Behavioural Psychology
  • Current CPR/First Aid Certificate (Standard First Aid/CPR Level C)
  • Current Record of immunizations (including TDP/10-year booster)
  • Up to Date CPIC/Police Check with vulnerable sector check (within the last 6 months)
  • High Five – Principles of Healthy Childhood Development Training (PHCD) an Asset
  • Personal Transportation to and from programming sites.

Bus Driver

Overview: The Boys and Girls Club is presently seeking part-time and casual bus driver positions. These positions will provide daily transportation for children and youth to attend day care, after-school programs, summer camp programs and various functions in the community. 

All Drivers must comply with Boys and Girls Club, school and government regulations.

Qualifications:
*Previous driving experience
*hold a class B drivers license
*Clean drivers abstract 
*Clean police check with vulnerable sector

A positive attitude and team approach is required, while enjoying working with children and youth.
