When can we register?

Registration opens on the Monday following March Break.

When should we register?

Spaces are filled on a first-come/first-serve basis so it is best to register as soon as possible. Once payment for Camp has been made, there are no refunds or transfers of credit.

How do I register?

You may register online or in person.

If we register online, how do we know that you have received it?

Once you register online you will receive a confirmation email from RecDesk within two business days.

If you register in person, our front desk attendant will email you with confirmation details.

What is the staff to camper ratio?

We require at least one staff member for every 15 children.
Our classroom ratios will not exceed 1:15.

My child has allergies, is there anything different he/she may need to do?

Please make us aware of your child's allergy by noting so in the designated area on our registration form.
If you are having difficulty finding this section, please contact your Camp location for assistance.

Please note that if any medication needs to be administered during Program hours, the permission to administer medication form must be completed.

If your child has an anaphylaxis allergy please print have your family doctor fill out this form!

All medical forms must be completed and submitted at least one week prior to Camp in order to ensure your child's space in Camp.

Is food included?

Our Robert Meek Community Youth Centre location includes two healthy snacks and lunch in their weekly fees.

Our West End Hub/Youth Camps only include snack and lunch on Fridays.
There is an optional daily lunch add-on available for $10. You will indicate your request upon registration.

For families who would prefer to send lunch from home, please refer to our bag lunch policy for guidelines and restrictions.

What if my child has an allergy or specific dietary restriction (no pork, wheat/milk allergy, vegetarian)?

If receiving snack and lunch through the Meal Program, we will do our best to accommodate your child and provide an alternate snack or meal. All allergies and food restrictions must be listed on the registration form.

What is your refund policy?

PA Day & Winter Day Camps 

  1. A credit for a Boys and Girls Club Program will be issued if a full refund is requested. 
  2. If requested within 10 business days of the Program/Camp commencing than a refund will be issued in the form of a cheque, minus an administrative fee of $20 per request. 
  3. No refund or credit will be given if the request is less than 10 business days notice. 

March Break & Summer Day Camps 

  1. A credit for a Boys and Girls Club Program will be issued if a full refund is requested. 
  2. If requested within 10 business days of the Program/Camp commencing than a refund will be issued in the form of a cheque, minus an administrative fee of $50 per request. 
  3. No refund or credit will be given if the request is less than 10 business days notice. 

What should my child bring to Camp each day?

  1. Running shoes
  2. Water bottle
  3. Hat
  4. Sunscreen

Lunch bags, sunscreen, and water bottles should be labelled stating the child's name.

What should my child not bring to Camp each day?

The Boys and Girls Club of Kingston & Area is an electronic free space. We do not allow members to bring or use cell phones, gaming devices, ipods or mp3 players, digital cameras etc. The Boys and Girls Club is not responsible for stolen money or valuables that are brought to camp.

What should I do if my child will be absent from Camp?

Please contact your Camp location by telephone or email to notify them of absence as soon as you are aware that the child will not attend or will be late, (arrival after 10:00am).

Safe sign in/sign out approved guardian pick up:

All children must be signed in and out with our front desk staff upon drop-off and pick-up at Camp. Children will only be released to approved parents or guardians. Please see our approved pick up section of our registration forms. Without written permission we will not allow a child to leave with a non-approved individual.

What if we are not interested in an entire week, but would like to register for daily rates?

Our Camp spaces are based on weekly registrations. We do not have individual day registrations available.

How/when will parents know what their children will be doing each day?

Individual session calendars will be available at the front desk on the first day of Camp. It will list trips, swim days and special events.

Is there subsidy available?

Yes, there is a Fee Assistance Program available for all Camps for those families who qualify/are in need. parents/guardians are to speak with the manager of the Camp location to get more information on the application process.

Subsidy does not apply to West End Partnership Camps or Bricks 4 Kidz.
